What About Bob?

Bob attended Concordia College in Moorhead Minnesota. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in music education, with a minor in psychology. He was a band director in the Fargo Moorhead area and also taught music for two years in Melbourne Australia. After returning from Australia, Bob started work on his MBA degree from the University of St Thomas in St Paul. He joined the Schmitt Music Company in Minneapolis and over a twenty-five year career held positions including store manager, divisional manager, regional manager, and director of education.

Looking for a way to start his own business, Bob went back to school and graduated from the Randy Potter School of Piano Technology. He mentored with Robert Stephenson of St. Paul, MN. Bob is a full time piano technician and works on 20-25 pianos per week for private customers, as well as doing piano work for Schmitt Music and other corporate clients. Bob is a member of the Piano Technicians Guild, Twin Cities Chapter, and served on the education committee. As a Registered Piano Technician (RPT) Bob has passed a series of rigorous examinations on the maintenance, repair, and tuning of pianos. Only RPTs are authorized by the Piano Technicians Guild to display the logo containing the words “Registered Piano Technician”.

Bob and his wife Colleen have a son Jordy, a daughter-in-law Mandy, and two grandsons; Seth and Luke  Bob has played saxophone professionally around the Twin Cities area for many years. Bob also sings in the choir at Advent Lutheran Church in Maple Grove, MN. 

Most of all, Bob enjoys the simple pleasures in life and especially enjoys time with his family.
